whether by high ground/ or splashdown/ we're safely back in the world

This, ladies and gentlemen, is Lucy Anne, who is my niece. She was born on Friday. Look how fucking beautiful she is. As I have noted elsewhere, her tiny lips are like the platonic ideal of lips.

Now more than ever it is my job to make the world a better place, because she's going to have to live in it, which I find more or less terrifying, but also an inspiration.

Congrats. As an aunt you now have to practice two secifically "aunt"-like personas that you must act out every so often. The first is a crazy fun aunt who spoils her neice and teaches her stuff that her parents think is bad. The second is the cooky aunt with weird smelling chests full of custume jewlerry and wigs who speaks incoherently and throws cats. Then again, you could always go the Italian route and be the overly-dramatic aunt who turn real life into an opera...they're always fun. Anyways, congrats again, don't shreik too much, and have fun with your new role in life. Tanti Auguri.

Again I realize that I can't spell when using a computer.
