I'm back after a much-too-long hiatus. I blame January, which this year has left me with an unusual (even for me) lack of energy. Thus, in a decision that I think makes sense, I let my online life slide. The trouble with that is that there are parts of my life and people in it that happen almost exclusively online, which is how I managed to be unaware that Jen's book was available for preorder, for example. For the record, she would like you to purchase it from an independent bookstore, but this link had the picture. I now return you to our irregularly scheduled blog posting.
I am only with you now, in fact, by virtue of having screwed up my right shoulder in a way that makes it painful for me to turn my head, the end result of which was that I stayed home reading instead of going to work to rotate my whole body weirdly while trying to provide excellent customer service.
For reasons of pain control, I am going to stop being with you now and get the hell out of my computer chair. I just wanted to assure you that I am not trapped under a heavy piece of furniture, I did not succumb to the fumes of one of our various house project substances, I did not abandon humanity in despair over the thought of the upcoming movie version of The Da Vinci Code. (Has Tom Hanks ever looked worse? Nevermind. That's another posting altogether.)
