oof

Kim from work was telling me that her whole freezer was full of wedding cake, that she knew you were supposed to eat a piece on your first anniversary, but she wasn't quite sure what to do with the rest. She couldn't figure out what was a special enough occasion to get it out for. "Breakfast?" I suggested. One of the things I hope for myself, and I hope it for all y'all too, is that every day can be a wedding-cake-for-breakfast day. And the hell with getting married first; I mean that for everyone, even the people who are quite happy in their solitude, thank you very much.

I'm still, apparently, way too overwhelmed to write about it, but I do want to say thank you. I can't believe what we were given, all the help and love and support and food and decorating and thoughtfulness, and if I can give it back on any occasion (wedding, birthday, third Thursday of the month--you pick) I would love to be a part of that.

You guys rock.

'col me crazy but...

seeing your impish, gleeful, grin beaming out of your face all day, (did your cheeks hurt after a while?), watching you dance the cancan, swimming on an almost empty, clean and local beach with you, seeing big kids play in the rain, and knowing you have found great, mutual, supportive love that quests for more justice and mutal support in this broken world is plenty of thanks enough for me. And I had a great time connecting with lots of wonderful peeps. I made friends. I made art. I made it out to a part of Toronto I've never been to. I made vegetable sticks for 100 and that's been my breakfast this week.

Thank you col for being the hostess with the mostest of the best barbeque of love I've ever attended and bring great folk together.

Who needs to say anything more? 'Cept I wasn't the one that made veggies for 100. Thanks to Jen curtailing my feed-the-masses impulse, I only had a bit of leftover rice salad to deal with.
